5 Minute Summer No-Makeup Look

Hey Loves,

So as you can tell by the title this is just going to be a post about my lazy (rushed haha) make-up routine some summer mornings

So to start off with I prime my face and at the moment I'm actually using Aloe Vera gel and Benefit's Porefessional which seems to be working! I then move on to my eyebrows and since this is a more natural look I only use an eyebrow pencil with light strokes to fill in my brows. If I go wrong at all, I'll just quickly clean up my brows with a dab of my BB cream on an angled brush.
Since I have unruly curly eyebrows I have to set the hairs so that they don't curl up during the day, I just use a clear mascara and brush through my brows a couple times.

After this I pop some Illuminator on my cheekbones, forehead, nose bridge, cupids bow and chin.
Then comes the most amazing BB cream which I buff into my face with the Real Techniques Buffing brush. Yes I did say that I put my illuminator under my BB cream! This helps give a more radiant and natural looking ethereal glow from within.

I then use my ring finger to rub in my Eye Roll-On to eliminate any dark circles without looking too obvious, a concealer although heavier duty can emphasis the fact that you're wearing make-up- especially if its a couple shades lighter than your natural skin-tone. After this I take my Real Techniques Blush brush and lightly dust my MAC Mineralise SkinFinish (MSF) Natural in Dark all over my face and under my eyes to set the liquid I've placed on my face. Next I pop some blush on my cheeks verrrrry lightly to give the face a bit more warmth, I love using an orange toned blush in particular as it complements a range of darker skintones.

Since natural is the aim of the game I don't do any crazy eye shadow but just dust some of my MSF all over my eyelid and under my brow and then use a warm brown eye shadow to create some definition in my crease and outer corner. I then lined my upper waterline with a black eye-liner and my special trick, I line my lower waterline with a NUDE eye-liner NOT a white eye-liner. Using a nude eye-liner is just more Women of colour (WOC) friendly and doesn't look as stark and dramatic- instead it opens up your eyes making it seem as though you've slept for much longer! Since my lashes are quite dark and thick I use a black lengthening not volumising mascara to add dome depth to my eyes.

To finish off the look its onto lips, again trying to keep a natural look, I use a dark brown lip liner to line my lips and fill in my bottom lip as its a bit lighter than my top lip. I used a crème finish lipstick in pink with brown undertones which is a lovely nude colour for darker skin. There a lots of other nude lipsticks I could've used such as Rimmel- Birthday Suit, WetnWild- Sandstorm, Rimmel Kate- 03 (gorgeous for medium skin-tones) but Mink is my personal go-to nude and I love it! I'm a sucker for lipgloss so I just topped off my lipstick with a pinky nude gloss.

And that's the look done! The reason it takes 5 minutes for me to do this is literally just practice, this is my minimal make-up routine so I pretty much know it off by heart now!

I hope that you guys find this in some way useful and as always if you have any questions please feel free to ask me, God bless.
